HTC HD2 is Out
There is great news for all the fans of the HTC HD2, the Touch HD2 on contract; Touch 2, Touch Diamond and Leo are some of the old names associated with the HTC HD2. Anyway, this powerful mobile phone is finally out. Windows Mobile 6.5 Profession will be the operating system for this Snapdragon 1GHz phone, though critics might want to hold their judgment until actually trying out the HTC Sense interface layered on top of Windows Mobile. The HTC Sense is basically an evolution of the HTC TouchFlo 3D and it makes navigating Windows a whole lot easier.
All About the Screen
If you have a 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen, start to wonder if the HD2 lacks multi touch capability? Most of you may already be familiar with the fact that Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional does not support multi touch functions, so all those pinch gestures will not register. At the same time, there are plenty of HTC apps that do support multi touch. It seems like it is WinMo itself that is the problem.
At 480 x 800 pixels, the resolution is more than just impressive, it is almost unparalleled with most devices out today. The brightness is outright impressive, far surpassing the clarity of the XPERIA X2 in most demonstrations (though this may be due to the native settings on the devices).
In Comparison
Being a Windows Mobile phone, the HD2 is compared to the XPERIA X2 a lot. The two share a common operating system, but HD2 takes the advantage by having a better proprietary interface. Mostly, it is the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor places the gap between the two devices. The HD2, like other smart phones, is a 3G device that supports quad-band networks, has Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card slot and supports various media file types.
