HTC Bravo and HTC Supersonic Photos Emerge

HTC BravoLooks like HTC is spawning plenty of mobile phones. Between confirmed leaks and rumoured devices, it seems like there is one new HTC phone being reported almost each week now. Photos of HTC’s Bravo and Supersonic phones popped up just a while back and it looks like the Taiwanese manufacturer is about to spring two impressive mobile phones soon (at the very least, the images are authentic, unlike the fake images of the supposed HTC Obsession).

The HTC Bravo has already been revealed late last year when the HTC 2010 roadmap got leaked. The document contained 8 mobile phones (5 Android phones and 3 Windows Mobile devices) with the HTC Bravo sporting the highest specs in the list. So far, it has already been confirmed that the Bravo will be getting a launch this March (so expect to see the Bravo and the XPERIA X10 to go head to head).

Specs wise, the Bravo and the Google phone Nexus One resemble each other. Both devices have large AMOLED capacitive touch screens, both run on 1GHz Snapdragon processors and the two devices have 5 mega pixel cameras. The two phones resemble each other physically too, and at some point last December, some assumed that the Bravo would be the Google phone. Anyway, the Bravo takes the specs a little bit higher from the Nexus One with its ability to record videos in 720p HD format.

The HTC Supersonic on the other hand will be the very first WiMax Android phone to be released. At close view, the Supersonic sports a very nice touch screen display and four buttons along the bottom of the screen. Both devices are expected to appear on the floor of the upcoming MWC next month.

HTC Smart or Dummed Down?

HTC SmartThe HTC Smart is one of first mobile phones made by HTC that isn’t a smartphone in the traditional sense. Sure, it has many of the same features as a typical smartphone like the Hero, but it runs on a different operating system. The Smart runs on the Qualcomm’s Brew Mobile Platform just like some of AT&T’s phones, less impressive phones. The Smart has decent specs.

Customers who purchase this handset will get the benefit of a 2.8 inch resistive display, which is admittedly pretty small and a QWERTY keyboard. Owners of the Smart will have the benefit HTML browsing. They will be able to check and send email as well as keep up with their favorite celebs, family and friends on Twitter.

The HTC Smart comes with 256 MB of RAM and ROM. Users will be able to take photographs with the phones 3.0 megapixel camera. At 3.0 megapixels, the camera is not bad but it’s not great either. It’s probably just right for the price of the phone.

The Smart is a Euro-friendly 3G handset and utilizes Quadband EDGE technology. The mobile’s processor speed is 300MHz, which is not really fast at all and its RAM is average. It has a built in memory of 256 MB. However, more memory can be added via the phone’s MicroSD slot.  There has been no mention of GPS or Wi-Fi. As a result, there is an assumption that they won’t be added, though this may not necessarily be the case.

The HTC Smart should reach Europe and Asia in the Spring (2010). Though no price has been set, this phone is expected to be priced quite affordably. The rumored specs speak to this assumption. It simply isn’t possible, or at least it would not make good business sense to price this handset expensively. The specs and features simply wouldn’t support it. There are too many good phones on the market at the higher price points that the Smart wouldn’t be able to compete against so we should be able to look forward to some excellent HTC Smart deals come Spring time.

Will Google Be Able to Pull Off the Google Nexus One?

Google Nexus OneThe Google Nexus One is an HTC mobile phone scheduled to makes its first appearance during the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show. There is a lot of anticipation as many people are interested in what the phone will look like and offer in terms of specs. As it concerns the electronics show, the Nexus One buzz has been incredible, quickly becoming the event’s focus, not by the handlers of course but by the public, electronics journalists, bloggers and others in the industry.

At $530, the Nexus One is pricey. Google was not shooting for the low-end market. Instead, their target audience appears to be those persons who expect a great number of impressive features and specs. By all accounts, it looks like Google will give it to them. Though no official word has been given, there are rumors concerning what the phone will offer users.

The Google Nexus One will reportedly include a five or six megapixel camera, will run on Snapdragon and GSM networks. The latter means that while it will be able to work just fine on the AT&T network, it won’t on the Sprint Nextel or Verizon Wireless. Besides what seems to be a high quality camera, the latest Android by the search engine giant will have a 3.7 inch touch screen display, FM radio and Bluetooth technology.

Though the Google Nexus has yet to be released, it appears like it is going to be great phone. It is using the Android Operating System, reportedly will have a top-of-the-line camera and use the speedy Snapdragon as its processor. Set to be introduced formally to the public very soon, Google’s Android, the Nexus One, has a lot of people talking. It already owns most of the buzz surrounding the Consumer Electronics Show, where it will be officially unveiled for the entire world.
