Youthful HTC Tattoo to make its debut in October
After a lot of unofficial leaks and rumours about the HTC Click, HTC have finally released an official press statement detailing a number of aspects about the HTC Click. Among them is the announcement that the HTC Click will officially be known as the HTC Tattoo. The affordable price along with the top – class design and the Android OS clearly justify the choice of name for the phone. It is to target the youth as well as the mass market.
A QVGA resistive toushcreen will be used in the HTC Tattoo, which is not something you see often in an Android phone. Rather, you would find a HVGA high resolution capacitive screen in an Android touchscreen phone. The reason for this, according to HTC, is that the resistive technology works better in conjunction with 2.8 inch screens, like that of the HTC Click.
The press release also states that the HTC Tattoo will be running on a 528 MHz Qualcomm CPU and will come attached with a RAM of 256 MB. These amazing specifications clearly show that the HTC Tattoo won’t disappoint when it comes to performance.
There are a number of mentionable features in the phone. Some of these include the 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, 3.5 mm headset jack, miniUSB port, accelerometer sensor, FM radio, microSD slot, GPS, and an onboard digital compass. HTC Sense UI is what the HTC Tattoo will be running on.
Finally, the press release is rounded off with the release date of the HTC Tattoo, which is early October for UK and the rest of Europe. The rest of the world will see the HTC Tattoo in subsequent months. HTC Tattoo Reviews have stated that the price of the phone upon release will be 200 Euros (180 Pounds), though the press release didn’t make any mention of this.
