HTC Bravo to Face off the Google Nexus One

In more ways than one, the HTC Bravo and the Google Nexus One have been closely related devices. Aside from the fact that HTC manufactured both devices (though the Nexus was Google branded), they are similar to each other in terms of specs and form. In December, when there were plenty of news and rumors about the Nexus One, some people even mistook the two devices as one.

The Nexus One was unveiled and released early this January at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California where it was revealed that the device would be exclusively sold through the Google online store. While this may have been a bad move for Google (they only managed to sell 20,000 units in the first week of sales), this was beneficial to many other mobile phone manufacturers who were also working on Android devices.

Still, many people want the Nexus One. In the UK, the only way to get the Snapdragon powered Android smart phone is to order the device online with an additional cost of 30 Pounds for the shipping and the UK adapter. No, it looks like HTC is going to deliver a cheaper and equally impressive alternative, the HTC Bravo.

The reason why people mistook the Bravo for the Google phone was because the two devices are similar in specs. The Bravo comes with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen and a 5 megapixel camera –just like the Google phone. But unique to the Bravo is the ability to record videos in 720p HD quality. It has also been reported that the HTC will be available locally in the UK and that the device will have a much lower price than the Nexus One.

Will Google Be Able to Pull Off the Google Nexus One?

Google Nexus OneThe Google Nexus One is an HTC mobile phone scheduled to makes its first appearance during the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show. There is a lot of anticipation as many people are interested in what the phone will look like and offer in terms of specs. As it concerns the electronics show, the Nexus One buzz has been incredible, quickly becoming the event’s focus, not by the handlers of course but by the public, electronics journalists, bloggers and others in the industry.

At $530, the Nexus One is pricey. Google was not shooting for the low-end market. Instead, their target audience appears to be those persons who expect a great number of impressive features and specs. By all accounts, it looks like Google will give it to them. Though no official word has been given, there are rumors concerning what the phone will offer users.

The Google Nexus One will reportedly include a five or six megapixel camera, will run on Snapdragon and GSM networks. The latter means that while it will be able to work just fine on the AT&T network, it won’t on the Sprint Nextel or Verizon Wireless. Besides what seems to be a high quality camera, the latest Android by the search engine giant will have a 3.7 inch touch screen display, FM radio and Bluetooth technology.

Though the Google Nexus has yet to be released, it appears like it is going to be great phone. It is using the Android Operating System, reportedly will have a top-of-the-line camera and use the speedy Snapdragon as its processor. Set to be introduced formally to the public very soon, Google’s Android, the Nexus One, has a lot of people talking. It already owns most of the buzz surrounding the Consumer Electronics Show, where it will be officially unveiled for the entire world.
